In the cutthroat world of social media, where bots run rampant and follower counts can be more inflated than a parade float, it’s hard to know what’s real anymore...but fear not Jags fans, because a new study has confirmed what you’ve known all along: Despite years of pain and sadness, YOU ARE THE REAL DEAL.

According to the folks over at FlashPicks, a sports betting news and picks site, the Jacksonville Jaguars boast one of the most genuine fanbases in the entire NFL. They did some digging, analyzing the Instagram and TikTok accounts of all 32 teams, and guess who came out near the top? That’s right, the teal and black. We are ranked 4th, but who is counting.
I’m calling it: Jaguars will win the superbowl in the next 3 years & tlaw will win an MVP pic.twitter.com/cl7ppYiF1l

The study, which used some fancy tool called Starngage’s Fake Follower Checker, found that a whopping 92.9% of the Jaguars’ 898,000 Instagram followers are actual, living, breathing human beings. Over on TikTok the story reads the same - just 1.7% of 564,000 followers aren’t legit. Compared to other teams, the Jaguars are practically a bot-free zone, as opposed to the Houston Texans who rank down at 26th out of 32!
Soft, pathetic football team. Fans reflect that...#Texans pic.twitter.com/g5xL8QIFlU

The teams that were found to have the most genuine fans were the Cincinnati Bengals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Minnesota Vikings.
It’s not just about real followers, it’s also about engagement, and Jags fans are crushing it in that department, too.
We’re talking about a 1.7% engagement rate on Instagram and a 3.1% engagement rate on TikTok. That means people aren’t just scrolling past Jaguars content; they’re liking it, commenting on it, and sharing it with their friends.

While the Jaguars are basking in the glow of authenticity, some other teams are, shall we say, less fortunate.
The Carolina Panthers, for example, scored a dismal 34.2 out of 50, with a staggering amount of fake Instagram followers. The New England Patriots aren’t looking too hot either, with an 18.8 score on their TikTok tying them for last place on that platform.
In a league full of fair-weather fans and bandwagon jumpers, it’s refreshing to see that the Jacksonville Jaguars have a fanbase that’s as real as it gets.
You’re the most genuine fans in the NFL, and that’s something to be proud of.
