If you believe in signs, then you will believe this man did the right thing.

Brian McShea thought he lost the engagement ring he bought for his girlfriend when their Altadena home was destroyed in the Eaton Fire. The couple had evacuated their home and was later told by the landlord that it burned down. They lost everything except their pets. Or so Brian thought.

It turns out Brian had bought an engagement ring, because he was planning on proposing. He had put it in a desk drawer. So, when he and his girlfriend went sifting through the rubble of their lives, Brian thought he’d give it a shot and look for the ring. Well, he found that needle in a haystack and if that isn’t a sign that he is meant to be with his girlfriend forever, I don’t know what is.

So, yeah, Brian immediately got down on one knee and proposed on the spot as he should have!

And of course, she said yes.
