Four-time Grand Slam tennis champion Naomi Osaka announced on social media that she had ended her relationship with her longtime partner, rapper Cordae.

Osaka, 27, announced the split through her Instagram story on Monday but did not say when it occurred. She added that the breakup was amicable, USA Today reported.

“Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship,” the four-time Grand Slam winner wrote in a statement. “No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and an awesome dad.”

Osaka ended her post with a heart emoji.

The announcement came less than a week before the Australian Open begins in Melbourne. Osaka was the women’s titlist at the first Grand Slam event of the tennis season in 2019 and 2021. She also is a two-time U.S. Open champion.

Osaka and Cordae had a daughter, Shai, together in July 2023, The Associated Press reported. She returned to the tour last year during the Australian Open after taking a 15-month break.

Osaka had reached the final of a tournament in Auckland, New Zealand, but withdrew because of an injury after winning the first set, the news organization reported.

The couple had their first public date in 2019 at the Los Angeles Clippers NBA game, People reported. They later said that they had kept their relationship private for nearly a year.

Cordae, 27, attended the U.S. Open in 2019 and 2020 to cheer Osaka during her matches, according to the magazine.
