After a year of health challenges, the Prince and Princess of Wales have released their Christmas card that features a photo taken when she announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatments.

The photo shows Prince William, Princess Catherine, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and was taken from a video that was shot by film maker Will Warr. It was recorded in Norfolk in August, the BBC reported.

The card had a simple message which read, “Wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year.”

Princess Catherine was diagnosed with cancer last year. Shortly afterwards her father-in-law, King Charles III was also diagnosed with cancer. Neither type of cancer was disclosed.

Prince William said the past year was “brutal” for the family and said it was the “hardest year” of his life, the BBC reported.

The royal family are in Sandringham for Christmas, but they did skip the pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace, Sky News reported.

Since the completion of her treatment, the princess has been adding some appearances to her schedule, including her annual “Together at Christmas” concert, Fox News reported.
